San Miguel del Bala, Bolivia. Community Eco-Lodge &
Eco-Tourism Rain forest hikes in and around the Madidi National Park. Comfortable lodging in cabins with electricity and private bathroom. |
We hope to hear from you: |
Be a volunteer in our indigenous village in the Bolivian Amazon - an experience for a life time !
We need a volunteer English teacher in our little San Miguel del Bala Community.
With the help of United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) and NGO's, we
have built the San Miguel del Bala Eco-Lodge. Today we are the
owners and operators of our Eco-Lodge and the tours we offer to the
rainforest.
We need to learn more English to offer the best possible service to our
guests.
Therefore, we are looking for volunteer English teachers, who can help
us short term or long term to continue improving what we have already learnt.
Our community has about 200 inhabitants. We are native Tacanas, but our
daily language is Spanish. For us it is not easy to learn English, but we know
that tourism is our future, and that most guests/tourists don't speak Spanish.
Our Eco-Lodge is consolidated, things works, we receive guests, and they
love San Miguel del Bala !
High season is ahead of us, and we have many reservations. But still it
may be a long way to a real economical success. Though, all involved are
optimistic, and we are working hard. We focus on the daily operation of the
Eco-Lodge and the tours, and on marketing and leaning English.
If you are fully Spanish speaking, you also have the chance to work some
days as an interpreter on the tours. A great way to combine (volunteer)
business and pleasure!
